My main field of research are macroeconomics, econometrics and monetary economics.

Here is a web page I made to explain why I like macroeconomics and some thoughts I have during the past few years in my study journal. --> Click here to see

Honors Research

Currently, I'm finishing the write-up of my game theory research paper which is based on Rank-Dependent Expected Utility (RDEU) model and going to publish it in journals. My research aim is to explore how risk evaluations affect the decision-making of vehicle owners and enforcement officers in parking compliance. And my dissertation advisor is Prof Quan Wen.

Here I made this page to document the timeline and my work over time.

Timeline:

Mar - Jun 2024:
Econ Honors Program Seminar I, Topics exploration
Took Econ 396 Seminar with Prof. Yael Midnight. ECON 396 at the University of Washington is an Honors Research Seminar for economics majors. It's a Spring quarter course for students in their junior year, designed to expose them to faculty research and potential thesis topics.
Jul - Aug 2024:
A Chill Summer Break :)
Looking for a topic that I want to explore while reading some recent published papers on top journals like American Economic Review and Econometrica. Doing networks with potential advisors
Sep - Nov 2024:
Honors Seminar II & Lecture
Took Econ 496 with Prof. Alan Griffith. According to description of the Econ department - This course (Econ496) is designed for Honors and other students in high standing to have the opportunity to develop research techniques, to pursue topics in breadth and depth, and to apply tools of economic analysis to selected topics in economic theory and current issues of national and international economic policy.

I was the Grader (Econ 400 - Advanced Microeconomics) to Prof. Quan Wen. I decided to work on a game theory research because of two reasons - (1) I recently got several parking violation tickets, which made me feel unhappy and start to wonder how could we maxmize our utility level in such senarios and (2) Prof. Wen is an expert on game theory research. I started to think about how parked drivers make decision on whether to pay the parking fee or not.

Here are the proposal and the Slides I made last year:

Note* : Special thanks to the parking officer who gave me this ticket to inspire me to work on this topic when I had no idea on my thesis topic:)
